The Neo Now is song writing duo Johnny Coin and Naoko Jones. The band records new music at Gypsy Hill Records in Hobart, Tasmania.
The Neo Now can be described as acoustic pop.
Their performance is up-beat and fun. The band has performed at Alma’s, at the Derwent Valley Country Music night, school fairs and private functions.
The Neo Now are songwriters of 100% original independent new music, a 100% true blue Tassie band.
In 2017 one Hobart FM radio DJ said if The Beatles were alive today, they would be creating music just like The Neo Now.

Johnny's previous bands include The Unclaimed with drummer Richard Ploog from The Church and Adrian the keyboardist from Icehouse. He founded The Herberts in country NSW in the 90s.
Johnny is the main creative genius behind The Neo Now. He plays all instruments and sings and composes and records and masters.
WHERE DO WE WANT TO GO?
The band’s ambition is as song writers. To get their music published and recorded by others artists. Their performances are to showcase their songs with that higher aim.

She is a poet and writer and lyricist. Naoko was the founder (and editor N. June M.) of the underground zine ‘Funky Under Cover’ in the 90s.
She was a music promoter in the 90s of techno, hip hop club nights and raves and co-founded a DJ competition with her company, SpaceCake Productions. She says she’s not a singer but she sings.
Her day job now is as a change manager and people leader. She was once an arts manager in the professional performing arts sector. She does arts marketing for the band.
